How is this program different from other types of coaching?

Structured coaching is different from more open-ended coaching such as life coaching or executive coaching.  It might be more helpful to think of this program as individualized training or tutoring rather than coaching.  Each module has a clear goal, and the sessions are structured to help you make progress toward that goal.  The program also has a predetermined end date, which is not as common with life coaching or executive coaching. 

How does the coaching program work?

All of the coaching sessions are designed to be conducted via phone.  For each module, you will have prework to help you maximize your time with your coach.  Coaching calls are 60 minutes each, and each one will conclude with an action plan for you to apply what you've learned.  Your coach will send you resources such as checklists and workbooks.  Calls are generally scheduled two weeks apart, depending on your schedule and on how quickly you want to make progress.  Between calls, you can reach out to your coach via e-mail with questions or issues.

What are the options for the coaching calls?  Do you offer options for before or after working hours?

Since the programs are conducted via phone, we can offer a great deal of flexibility.  You can work with your coach to find days and times that will work for your schedule, including before or after working hours in your time zone.  

What are the qualifications of your coaches?  Are they certified?

Since these programs are essentially highly individualized training programs, our coaches are instructional designers and facilitators with a strong background in supporting managers just like you.  At this time, we do not have anyone who is certified by ICF or other coaching organizations.

Can my company pay for a coaching program on my behalf?

Absolutely!  In fact, we encourage you to explore this option, as these programs are an investment in your professional and personal growth that your company will definitely benefit from.  If you run into any difficulties due to the payment methods (credit card or PayPal), just  contact us and we'll be happy to work with your Accounts Payable department to figure out a good solution.

I'm eager to start getting help right away - do I have to do the free consultation?

The consultation is a critical part of the process, so everyone needs to complete it first before starting coaching.  Not to worry, though: the consultation is designed to help you start making progress even as you are evaluating whether the program is right for you.  Sign up for your consultation so you can start making progress right away.

I am a manager, but I don't work in the U.S.  Will these programs still help me?

All of our programs are designed with the American workplace in mind.  However, some of the principles are applicable no matter where you live and work.  In your consultation call, you can assess whether the program content will fit your particular context (as well as make sure we can come up with timing for the calls that doesn't require you to stay up late). 

I'm not a manager yet, but I want to be prepared.  Can I sign up for this program?

Unfortunately, the content of this program is designed to be applied right away, so it wouldn't be a good use of your time if you aren't actually managing anyone right now.  In the future, we hope to offer a program specifically for aspiring managers, so if you have ideas on what we should include, please e-mail us.  

What if I don't like the program?  How do I get a refund?

We want you to feel that the program is a good use of your time and money. If at any point during the program you decide it isn't helping you achieve your goals, just let us know and we will give you a full refund.  That's it.  No hoops to jump through, no requirements.  You get to keep all the materials and resources you've received up to that point.
